Instrumentalist, teacher and filmmaker, I  have enjoyed a varied career playing Clarinet/Bass Clarinet in orchestras, various shows and teaching in some of the most prestigious schools in the country.

During my 20+ years as a clarinet and saxophone teacher it has given me great pleasure to see young musicians enhance not only their music making skills, but to also see the tremendous far reaching affects this has on enjoying a varied and rewarding life. It seems obvious to me that playing a musical instrument pushes and stimulates the brain like nothing else and so I find it extremely rewarding to be part of this process.

Achieving a balance between playing to a high standard and being a committed teacher is always challenging for musicians. I have found since creating tutorials on YouTube this has really helped me to achieve a consistent sound and quality to my own playing.

I created a YouTube channel so that pupils can access  help when away from their teacher. Backing tracks and demonstrations are often recorded at totally unrealistic tempos by professional players which younger players simply cannot match. So with this in mind I set about trying to record online tutorials for popular works with not only expert tuition, but also some play-along tracks set at slightly more realistic speeds for that standard.
